Baby banana or bananito is much more than just a small banana. It has a subtle, sweet tropical flavor that tastes like honey. Its texture is dense and creamy. Its aroma is sugary. And its yellow color is intense, full of energy.

Baby banana crops require significant amounts of water. Since Colombia has some of the highest rainfall in the world (more than 5,000 mm per year), it is perfect for baby bananas. In 2024, Colombia exported 12,585 tons of baby bananas. Its exports also saw a 60% increase in value, making it the tropical product with the fastest current growth rate.
